FCA Speech on Extending Financial Inclusion
On 29 September 2023, Nikhil Rathi, CEO of the FCA delivered a speech calling for “a new enlightenment” that can help support financial inclusion.
FCA publishes Diversity & Inclusion Consultation Paper & FLA Session for Members (19 October 2023)
On 25 September 2023, the FCA and PRA published Consultation Papers aimed at boosting diversity and inclusion in financial services. The FCA’s consultation is: Diversity & Inclusion in the financial sector – working together to drive change. The proposals focus on promoting healthy work cultures, reducing groupthink and unlocking talent. The measures also aim to enhance the safety and soundness of firms and improve understanding of diverse consumer needs.
The PRA published its own proposals at the same time and the FCA has worked closely with the PRA to develop a consistent and coordinated set of proposals for consultation.
